Hi, I'm Daven. I help in-house professional communicators develop the planning and client management skills that aren’t commonly taught but are essential to their success.
I'm your guide and coach for Communication Plan Blueprint. My mission is to help you learn how to create communication plans that help you and your company find greater success. Creating communication plans should not be overwhelming or filled with struggle. My goal is to make it easier for you.

When not creating learning experiences through my own company, I teach corporate communications to continuing education students at my hometown university and run a communications consultancy, GreenMegaphone, Inc.
My corporate life included stints as a communicator for companies such as Starbucks, Catholic Health Initiatives, and Premera Blue Cross.
I started my career as a journalist before making the jump to communications roles in school districts and cities in Western Washington. Oh, almost forgot, I'm a long-time member of the International Association of Business Communicators.
I'm familiar with communication plans already. Is this course a good fit?
The course is foundational in scope and is aimed at newer communications professionals. That said, my goal is to help communicators understand that the communication plan is much more than a document. So, if you're open to refreshing skills and gaining new insight, then this course is a good fit.
Are there group coaching calls for students?
I've planned weekly group coaching calls with students to focus in on the week's modules and provide an opportunity to ask related questions!
Will I have access to the entire course up front?
Since we're in the beta stage, the course will be delivered over a seven-week period. This will give us time to sharpen content and improve your experience as we go.
How much time should I expect to spend each week on the course?
Right now, I expect students will spend between two and four hours a week on the online lessons.
Is there an opportunity to interact with and discuss course content with other students?

Does this course include a robust section on measurement?
No. We talk about measurement but you can't measure if you're not in the room where corporate problems and opportunities are discussed. This course is aimed at getting you in the room first through employing a replicable communication planning discipline and approach.
